With new apps, platforms, and ways to reach customers popping up every day, it's tempting to try to be all things to everybody, everywhere. Very few brands have the budget to make that work, so the smart play is to be strategic and make sure you know where your audience are before you start spending money to talk to them. Most of all, be easy to remember for the right reasons. You can’t bore a customer into buying your product, so solve their problems, memorably.

The prevailing wisdom is that only around 5% of your audience is in market for your product or service at any one time. Therefore it’s critical that you create and use your brand assets (including Logo, colours, iconography, tone of voice, sound signature, jingle etc) consistently to make it as easy as possible for them to remember you when they do finally come into market.
